The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a program created by the Australian government to provide support to Australians with a significant and permanent disability, their families, and carers. The scheme takes a lifetime approach and aims to ensure Australians with disability will have the necessary supports to work towards their goals. If you are under 65 and have a permanent disability that prevents you from doing everyday things independently, you are most likely eligible for the NDIS. It is a good idea to read the NDIS Access Checklist (link below) to see if you might be eligible.
Core Supports
Core Supports help NDIS participants with their everyday activities, their current disability-related needs and to work towards their goals.
Capacity Building Supports
Capacity Building Supports help NDIS participants build their independence and skills to help them pursue their goals.
Capital Supports
Capital Supports include higher-cost pieces of assistive technology, equipment and home or vehicle modifications, and funding for one-off purchases NDIS participants may need (including Specialist Disability Accommodation).

Capacity Building Supports
Self-Managed Funding: Under this plan, NDIS participants can either manage their funds by themselves or ask their family members or friends to manage their NDIS funds.
Plan-Managed Funding: Under this plan, NDIS participants can choose a plan manager to manage their NDIS funds on their behalf.
NDIA-Managed Funding: Under this plan, the NDIA pays the providers a NDIS participants chooses to work with.

Although Vis-Ability Support Services would love to work with all NDIS participants we can currently only work with self-managed and plan-managed participants.
